These terms govern your use of the Emolio website (emolio.com and its subdomains), the free course, and, once available, the Emolio Scanner device and companion software. By using this site or signing up for the course, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Emolio is a trade name of a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 99667339, establishment number 000064722775, registered address Alte Bahn 22, 47559 Kranenburg, Germany.

1. Educational Purpose Only

This website, the free course, and all associated content (including the "Research" page and any material referencing PEAR, SRI, presentiment research, or other studies) are provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Nothing on this site, in the course, or in any communication from us is intended as, and none of it should be relied on as, professional medical, health, diagnostic, or therapeutic advice.

2. No Medical Claims — Not a Medical Device

The Emolio Scanner is not a registered medical device in any jurisdiction. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and no statement on this site should be read as claiming that it does. Any pattern, reading, or output the device or software produces is not a medical result and must never be used as a substitute for evaluation by a licensed physician.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, symptom, or before making any healthcare decision. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on this site, in the course, or from use of the device.

3. Honesty About What We Know and Don't Know

Where we reference scientific research (on the homepage or the Research page), we describe honestly what is established, what is contested, and what is unproven, including where the underlying research has not been independently replicated. We do not claim scientific consensus where none exists. Personal accounts or case reports referenced on this site (including from Emolio's own founder) are anecdotal, are explicitly not presented as clinical evidence, and should not be treated as such.

4. The Free Course

The course is provided free of charge, without any purchase obligation. We collect your email address (and optionally your name) to deliver course content and related communications. You may unsubscribe at any time.

5. The Device — Not Yet Available

The Emolio Scanner hardware is in development and is not currently for sale. Any target date mentioned on this site (including January 2027) is our current plan, not a guarantee, and is subject to change without notice. No order, deposit, or payment obligation exists for the device through this site at this time.

6. Practitioner Accounts and Acceptable Use

If you use the Emolio practitioner platform (app.emolio.com), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt to circumvent its security, or use it in a way that violates applicable law, including data protection law applicable to any patient data you enter.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — text, graphics, logos, and course material — is owned by Emolio or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This site, the course, and (once available) the device and software are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site or course will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from using them.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Emolio and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of health, data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, the course, or the device, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Governing Law

Emolio is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce but established in Germany, so both Dutch and German law may be relevant to these terms depending on the matter — we are not asserting a single exclusive jurisdiction here, and this section should be finalized with proper legal advice rather than relied on as-is. Nothing here overrides mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country of residence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
