Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy covers the Emolio marketing website (emolio.com and its subdomains) and the free course sign-up: what we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It does not cover the separate practitioner platform (app.emolio.com), which handles patient health data under its own, more detailed data processing terms — contact us if you need those.

Data controller: Emolio, a trade name of a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 99667339, establishment number 000064722775, registered address Alte Bahn 22, 47559 Kranenburg, Germany.

1. What We Collect

When you sign up for the free course or contact us, we collect:

  • Your email address (required)
  • Your name (optional)
  • Your preferred language
  • Any information you include when emailing us directly

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website. We don't know which pages you viewed before signing up, and we're not trying to.

Embedded videos are the one exception, and only if you choose to play them: nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) may receive your IP address and set cookies under its own privacy policy. If you don't press play, YouTube receives nothing from your visit.

2. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

We process your email and name based on your consent, given when you submit the course sign-up form, in order to deliver the course and related communications. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us — see Section 6.

3. Who We Share It With

We use the following processors to run this website and deliver the course. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

  • Brevo (Sendinblue SA) — sends the course welcome email and, if you opt in, related course communications.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the underlying database and server infrastructure.
  • YouTube (Google) — only if you press play on an embedded video, as described in Section 1.

4. How Long We Keep It

We keep your email and name for as long as you're subscribed to the course, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain limited records by law.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the EU/EEA (or regardless of location, as a matter of policy), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — likely either the German authority for North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW, where Emolio is established) or the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (where Emolio is registered), or your own local supervisory authority. Which one has primary jurisdiction here hasn't been formally confirmed with a lawyer yet, so treat this as a starting point, not a final answer.

To exercise any of these rights, email us — see Section 6. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Contact / Exercising Your Rights

For any privacy question or request, email info@emolio.nl.

7. Children

This site and course are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
